Breedin' heck.
Here's a bit of blistering Pais.
...he's just gone through no less than six sticks.
And here's why...

Going bananas.
They say hard work never killed anyone. But the bass player came close
disproving that particular axiom last night. Anyhoo, here are the fruits
of our labour (geddit?).
First up, don't be hatin'...
And a tiny taster of the hardness to come (and hardness to fall).

Hanging by the Fuzz.
Back to the rehearsal room and there was some new kit on the block. Namely,
Jezza's drums. To celebrate, he dressed like Mother Teresa and Potter swallowed

When it Rains...
The glories of high payin' gigs behind us, we went back to sweat in the studio.
And all we need are...
There was much discussion as to whether we should attempt Rain or She Sells
Sanctuary and the omens weren't good...
But we mashed the two together and we miiiiight just have got away with it.
And all we need are...
(Well, that and a bit more practice.)

Giggity.
And so, the time came to unleash the Squid upon an unsuspecting world.
The old-school flyers went up...
...and the armaments were assembled.
This is 'The Lowdown' bar in the basement of the Albany pub, opposite
Rich and Garth took to the stage. If a junk-filled mezzanine floor with alcoves
could be referred to as such.
At least somebody knew what they were doing. Anna, our sound engineer for
the evening, did an amazing job of sorting it all out.
One final tune up...

Midnight cowbell.
Rustier than the Titanic's tailpipe, we went back to the rehearsal studio and
tried to cobble a set together. With the welcome addition of Jeremy's new cowbell.
After four or five runs at every song, we eventually managed to get it together.
Here's the full set in four parts, warts and all. Mostly just warts, really.

Out ta get ya mother.
Another rehearsal, another crime against music. This time, we mashed up
Guns 'n' Roses with Abba. Björn to be wild, if you will. After that, we mashed

Getting shirty.
Our new T-shirts arrived, just in time for our most recent practice, hurrah!
We were without our guitar wizard, but Kate from the Squidettes stepped
in and we pogoed and spat our way through a new tune.

Guest Night.
Sadly, Jezza was unable to make our most recent practice. Instead we were
joined by several guests. Some we'd invited...
...and one we hadn't!
Here, filmed in stomachchurnovision, is a promising start for an entirely
new band (once they've been joined by a bass player of their own). Who'll
end up supporting whom?

Badge of honour.
Jez's daughter sent us this awesome Provenance Of Squid badge. It's also
been added as a button, top right, to brighten the site up.

Kill the radio star.
A few more videos of our Thursday jam. First up, Bjorn to be wild...
The original isn't a patch on this mash-up. Patch. Geddit?
Taken from an odd angle. But it'll be Neil Peart looking over his shoulder after this.

Here's a ten minute mp3 of us playing three or four songs, recorded on a phone.
Phil Spector may have pioneered the wall of sound. But our technique captures
Have them shot.
A few short videos from our most recent rehearsal.
First up, Middle Age Kicks.
A snippet of the incredible bouncing guitarist...
